Tourism and fishing are major industries in Terengganu. The state was famous for boat-making especially in Pulau Duyong (the host of Monsoon Cup).

The most famous local food is
Keropok Lekor,
which mixed of flour and
pounded fish for afternoon tea.
Keropok Keping (fish crackers) are made from sun-dried slices of
Keropok Lekor. Keropok lekor best eaten with local chili sauce,
made from dried chili, tamarind, sugar and vinegar.
